Yoga has personally helped me in many areas of my life - being married to an Army officer, yoga helped me through numerous deployments as well as through raising teenagers, and personal challenges.

In 2011, during Greg's second deployment, the power of yoga became fully evident to me. During this particular deployment, Greg would seek out various "stretches" to help cope with chronic back pain, stress relief, or for an active recovery. That's when the idea of Joined Forces Yoga was born and I began pursuing opportunities to share yoga with the military.


It is my passion to bring yoga to our military and do my part to help others find the benefits of yoga the way Greg and I did.

You will often hear me say... "why not" and "it's just a push-up." I like to challenge my students to exceed their personal expectations because "why not."

Latoya is an army vet and yoga teacher with a distinct gift for connecting with soldiers. In her own words, "Yoga has been such an integral part of my transformation from student to teacher. I have had many roles in life; soldier, veteran, wife, and mother and I am most proud of this role as a teacher and facilitator for Joined Forces Yoga.


As a teacher, I find great joy in assisting soldiers and guiding them along their yogic path. I love to make yoga fun and challenging by connecting with students on their level. Yoga is such a transformative practice and my intent is to share it with everyone."
